The Vaughn Ventus SLR intermediate leg pads are produced with a solid inner core to optimize balance, reduce weight and prevent breakdown. The pre-curved design and ultra-thin thigh rise seals flawlessly in the butterfly while the firm inner gusset and pro-style knee block help keep the goaltender balanced. A wide knee cradle and adjustable knee strap, as well as a tapered outer knee wrap, allow the pad to fully rotate into the butterfly. Finally, all leather straps—minus the boot strap—have been replaced with nylon straps to reduce the overall weight of the pad
