It is a steel or "tonebar" with a rounded nose that allows the player to tilt the steel bar up and be able to cleanly play single notes on any string.
With a traditional square ended bar it’s very difficult to play single notes anywhere except the very top or very bottom strings.
The new design, has a more rounded nose and tighter radius bottom surface for a smoother vibrato.
The Bar Features 3” long and has heavy chrome plating.
