RETIRED Pleasant Company American Girl Josefina Doll, Box, Accessories, 1998
Preowned and in like-new condition. All items listed below come from a smoke free home. Josefina was owned by my daughter who was a young collector & did not play with her. She only displayed Josefina for a short time, so the doll has spent most of her life tucked away in a doll box.
This Josefina doll is an original first edition doll, purchased in 1998. We are the original owners.
1824 historic Josefina doll comes with original items: “Meet Josefina” clothes (RETIRED Camisa (white blouse), skirt, sash, drawers, moccasins with leather laces (the laces were originally leather but changed to a shoe lace in the later Mattel years). Burgundy box (replacement), hair care wrist pamphlet and unread

- 1st edition book (1997).
Doll is in excellent condition. Her cloth body is clean with no flaws and does not have a body tag. She has the Pleasant Company neck stamp. Her arms & legs are tight, she can stand and hold a pose. Her beautiful dark hair is in the original style ponytail, with blue hair ribbon and 3 faux yellow primroses, it is shiny and well kept, although a little dry on the ends. Her brown eyes open and close properly with matching black eyelashes.
Her meet clothes are pristine condition.
Also included are Josefina’s Retired Accessories:
Rebozo: A 34" long (not including fringe) by 5" wide rebozo. This 1st edition has a subtle diamond pattern on main body, while the current AG edition has multicolored stripes.
Necklace: Gold cross-shaped pendant on a gold chain with a faux-garnet stone in the center. This original version closed with a latch clasp as does this one.
Leather pouch (with label)
A white sheer handkerchief that has a Mexican style embroidered flower
Jola coin in paper envelope (has a tiny tear at bottom corner)

1 PC plastic hanger
Replacement box is in excellent condition.
Clothes have Pleasant Company tags.
All items are in perfect condition as they barely made it out of their original packaging and were stored in clean bags and bin.
