    Description

    A very rare, most precious, Early Antique French Maid Shell Figure.  The 19th century doll measures 6" tall, 3.5" wide and 3" deep and is mounted on a cork stand.  Excellent proportions show exquisite posture.  A wonderfully composed rouged face with wooden arms covered with shells to below elbows results in a bloused cuffed effect revealing white painted forearms and hands.  The dress and apron flow with seed shells.  Shells are missing and some paint is worn off.   A truly rare, all original, treasured piece.
