    R.E.M. 13 "The Latest Word" EARLIEST Fan Club Newsletters ... For Serious R.E.M. Collectors
    Over two decades ago I bought a R.E.M. standee (point-of-sale advertising) on eBay. The seller, who claimed to know the band, also included 13 of the earliest "The Latest Word" fan club newsletters. These newsletters included:
    a. The November 1991 Premiere Issue ...
    b. The Complete 1992 First Year Volume One 10 Issues,
    except
    for Vol. 1, No. 5 ...
    c. ... and, including 1993's Vol. 2, No. 1, 4, 10.
    In addition to these highly desirable earliest issues, there appear to be five R.E.M. signatures [Michael, Peter, Mike (3) ... please see photos]. I am not an autograph expert, so I cannot guarantee these signatures. So, please do not buy these newsletters for the autographs (unless you can verify them); buy these newsletters for the R.E.M. history.
    Any serious R.E.M. fan interested in the thinking and going-on of the band at this their earliest manifestation, I believe, will thoroughly enjoy reading these and sharing them with like-minded friends ... and collecting what in time will be a valuable collectible.
