    DESCRIPTION: RARE tabletop tube AM radio alarm manufactured by Philco in 1959 timeframe in excellent+ working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The radios of this period mimic the cars with contrasting colors, oblique angles, and metal trim. This radio was cared for and maintained throughout its life. This radio is in very good condition with slight chip or missing plastic at the corners as seen in the photos. There are light scratches throughout on the edges but nothing major. The coral pink is original factory molded color. No modifications, repaints, or repairs to cabinet. None needed. This radio is over 50 years old!  Not missing labels on front speaker grill. The front 'Philco' gold raised lettering is in good condition. The knobs are in excellent condition. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The dial light lights up brightly. The tubes are working fine. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices.  Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned.
