The Super High Fidelity Philco Model680X - Product Booklet
"For those discriminating
listeners
who demand the utmost in radio performance and tonal fidelity... Philco 680X... the finest in radios in all the world today"
Here is another FIND from one of my over 500 boxes of books, ephemera and just stuff. It took 60+ years to accumulate these treasures, and each week, I retrieve a dozen or so boxes from my storage units and post some selected items on eBay.
A striking red pamphlet/brochure/booklet, 7" x 9 3/8", printed on glossy paper, 24 pages plus cover, covering the Philco Model 680X, 1935 version.
"This booklet tells the story of the 680X as completely yet as concisely as type and illustration will permit."
Browse the photos included with this posting... detailed chassis photos, illustrations explaining the cabinets acoustics to yield high-fidelity sound (extending to 7500 cycles!), a 15 Watts audio system (two 6A3 output tubes driven by a type 42 driver tube), shadow tuning, four bands, fifteen tubes total.
The photos tell the story of the contents of this great pamphlet.
Condition is very good with just a minor rub across the cover, see the first photo.
This pamphlet is great for the 30s/40s Philco radio collector, historian and enthusiast!
