Large Rare French Antique Favorite Doll Limoges (Lanternier) 32” joined body

Description

Large Impressive French Antique Doll Limoges (Lanternier) 32”. It is striking doll with the most distinctive smiling face.
She was manufactured by the Lanternier company and they started production from 1891.
She has large blue glass fixed eyes, top and lower painted lashes and heavy multi stroke eyebrows. Her open mouth reveals six moulded teeth. She has pierced ears.
Her head is bisque. I have shown a picture of the markings on the back of her head, they are quite impressive which makes me think she was one of the earlier dolls. Her dark brown wig is vintage.
She is on a heavy chunky vintage Really Seeley french body, very similar to the Jumeau body's. Her outfit has been made specially for her. Her shoes are vintage.
