This lightweight, 60mm (2.36in.) guitar slide features a copper shell over polymer sleeve. The polymer sleeve adds mass and controls overtones, while decreasing the inside diameter to US ring size 5 to 6.
*IMPORTANT*
This slide is sized for small, thin fingers that conventional sized slides will not fit. I have made several custom slides in this size for musicians who can not find slides with a small enough inside diameter to fit snug on their finger. This US Ring Size 5 to 6 slide can solve this problem and is perfect for you if you are in a similar situation.
If you are looking for a slide with a smooth, smaller inside diameter to fit thin fingers or for youths/children or for use as a pinky slide, then this is the slide for you. With a U.S. ring size of 7, this slide should fit snug on most fingers that are troubled by loose-fitting slides.
The Cu61 is a generous mix of comfort, sustain, and maneuverability; its copper finish will form a rich patina as it is polished by steel strings and then tarnished over time. Whether it slides down the fretboard of an electric or acoustic guitar, steel or nylon strings, the Cu61 will offer years of versatile sounds ranging from gritty, delta blues to warm country tones and subtle twang.
Your slide will ship shiny and polished, but over time the finish will darken and develop an appearance somewhere between pictures two and six. The copper shell is meant to tarnish and will remain in a consistent state of change throughout its lifetime.
As you play, small markings will develop along the surface of the slide, which will in turn tarnish and add depth to the emerging patina. You will find that the more you play, the more dramatically the slide's surface will be affected—the appearance of its finish will be directly related to your own playing style and therefore unique to you.
