This super lightweight, 60mm (2.36in.) PVC guitar slide will take the scratchy sound out of your slide playing and the heartbreak out of a tragic drop onto a hard surface.
Some guitars or guitar strings, seem scratcher than others, but one thing is certain—when you are recording and the sound of metal on metal is the prevailing characteristic, this slide will help place your music above the noise. Sometimes the sound of brass and steel is dirty, bluesy gold, but other times the mood of the song calls for less metallic tone.
This polyvinyl slide does not have the grit or sustain of metal or glass; rather it produces a smooth, mellow sound that seems to pull more tone out of the strings than adding characteristics of the slide material. Made from a high strength, thermoplastic, it also will not break or dent due to a fall, so depending on your environment, it might be a better fit for a possible drop onto tile or concrete—garage, basement, or patio.
