The Story behind the milpengo banknote:
The banknote's denomination is indeed quite confusing.
It is '100,000,000 mil-pengo', which means it is 100,000,000 x 1 (mil) million pengo,
which equals to 100 Trillion. But, since the Hungarian population at the time
was unable to comprehend such colossal numbers, it was only the letters 'mil'
that was placed in front of the pengo, to make it easier for them.
    Anyway, since these hyper-inflationary banknotes
were printed in ever greater numbers and variety in the cold and hungry months of 1946,
the population was usually only able to
    identify them
    by their color.
They were called, 'the red', 'the pink', 'the purple', 'the brown', 'the blue', etc.
