    Description

    Our smoke powder is made by burning wood of the type needed to make a pure smoke of the flavor needed. Hickory wood is burned for hickory smoke powder as is mesquite or apple wood. The smoke is condensed and rried into a powder using Maltodextrrine carrier. The flavor is very intense; but, much better flavor than the nasty liquid smoke that we used to use. I would recommend that you use from one table spoon to 1 1/2 tablespoon to 10 pounds of sausage to start. This is a premium product and you should start light, keep records of how much you used and the flavor you got from it. Add to your cures, BBQ rubs and even baked beans. You want a sweet smoke flavor and not a overpowering taste. This is the smoke used by professionals and you can be one of them.
    It comes in a high barrier bag that can be zipped up tight or place in a glass jar with a tight lid to keep for a long period of time. Smoke powder will draw moisture and get hard if left open to the air.
