You're probably familiar with Bauer's Curv Composite and the extreme rigidity they have achieved in their skates, well get ready to see the same transformation in your pads! By reinforcing the Thigh Rise with composite the area becomes much stiffer, improving the pad's seal to the ice, resulting in fewer deflected pucks, and improved durability.

Starting with their flagship hydrophobic technology, Bauer infused their new leg channel with the material that wicks moisture, and regulates body temperature, keeping your legs dry and in the right position for complete control. 37.5 technology is infused with heat sensitive particles that draw sweat off the fabric and evaporate it as your body temperature rises making it up to 5x more effective than many comparable hydrophobic fabrics. This results in your body carrying less weight and expending less energy cooling, enabling increased performance across the board.
Custom Rotation System
Bauer's effort to improve mobility resulted in the implementation of flexible hook and loop straps at the calf and boot. The resulting customizable fit optimizes the rotational ability of the pad, ensuring unhindered drops and pushes. Bauer also included a new toe bridge and flexibile lace, which helps to reduce the hop stress felt with more traditional methods.
C.O.R.TECH Skin Technology
One of the most notable innovations in the Od1n pad is the one piece construction of the pad. To acheive this, Bauer molded the pad cover in lieu of the traditional cut and sewn methods. Its composed of five layers, clear coat, digital print, poly-urenthane, lycra-spandex, and corss linked polyethylene foam. This eliminates seams, cuts weight, and results in a faster more responsive pad. The increased C.O.R. (coefficient of restitution) that they achieved pushes rebounds further from the goalie and away from the crease.
Digitally Printed Graphics
A digitally printed graphic results in a more detailed, and more importantly cleaner finish. Devoid of seams and surplus material, Bauer eliminated the increased friction and less consistent surface, truly putting performance first.
XRD Foam Knee
Bauer's Poron XRD Foam is their leader in impact protection, and is lightweight and comfortable to boot. The foam is dependent on the reaction of urethane molecules when stressed ar a high rate, or impacted quickly. When this happens, the urethane molecules temporarily "freeze" forming a protective shell that has conformed to your body.
Redefined Sizing
Optimized sizing ensures the best possible performance, and Bauer has aimed to simplify this process going forward. Converting to S, M, L, XL, and XXL they aimed to simplify the process by adhering to more universal standards.
