    ANTIQUE 31" BISQUE DOLL

    ORIGINAL CLOTHING *LOVELY!
    Beauitiful doll by J.E. Masson, Limoges, France.
    Doll has very nice blonde hair with pipe curls, lovely face, brown fixed eyes (not open/close), and a slight smile with teeth showing.  She has pierced ears that are hosting what appears to be freshwater pearl earrings.  Her bisque hands are noteworthy in that they have long pointed fingers, not very common.  Her head turns from side to side.  Her upper torso is made of bisque and is sewn to her cloth body that is tightly stuffed.   Her bisque lower legs are in great condition also.  Her clothes appear worth with possible discoloration (or perhaps they were meant to be the way they are, we're not certain).  She's wearing pantaloons, a slip, blouse, velvet skirt with matching jacket and a blue corduroy vest with a snap closure.
    The back of her head is marked J.E. Masson,  Limoges.  Please see the photos to see if you can make out the entire marked area.  There is also a very small maker's mark under her right ear also shown in one of the photos.
    This doll is heavy and perhaps weighted so that she sits nicely.
